A charter bus operated by Da Zhen Travel Agency in Monterey Park overturned on Interstate 210 in Duarte, CA.  The bus was on its way to San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino in San Bernardino on August 22, 2013.  Preliminary reports state that the casino bus was traveling eastbound on the 210 freeway at approximately 70 mph in Irwindale and attempting to go into the carpool lane near 605 freeway when it swerved and braked to avoid colliding with another vehicle.  All lanes of the freeway were closed down to allow emergency helicopters to land and airlift seriously injured victims to local hospitals.

The bus accident left more than 50 people injured after it overturned and ended up on the the side embankment.  Responding CHP officers were seeking Chinese translators to help speak with the victims at the scene and hospitals.

Casino buses transporting residents and tourists from the San Gabriel Valley to Indian casinos and Las Vegas commonly travel this route.  Victims were transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital, L.A. County/USC Medical Center, Citrus Valley Hospital, and Foothill Presbyterian Hospital.

Being involved in a bus accident can be difficult to deal with.  Injured victims could be left with medical bills and some will likely have to deal with their injuries for a long time. A personal injury attorney may help ease the burden and get victims the compensation they deserve- including past and future medical bills, loss of earnings/future earning capacity, pain and suffering, and property damage, if any.
